Brightmoor Christian Church is committed to reaching out with the Love of Christ to our town, our county and literally around the world.  Globally we support missionaries on every continent, we conduct annual missions trips and have teams from our congregations in the local jails, foodbanks and in ministry to the homelss.  Watch this page for upcoming missions and outreach events.

Saturday May 18th at Courage Church (Mexicantown Campus) 1953 Military St, Detroit MI 48209

9am Bus Leaves from Brightmoor
9:45am Orientation and volunteer assignments at the Courage Church
10:30am Everyone to their assigned locations
11am-4pm Outreach is open!
3:30 Clean Up
4pm Bus Leaves to head back to Brightmoor

If you would like to meet us at the outreach, please come for the orientation, if you are unable to come at that time, we encourage you to arrive when able and find Pastor Liza to give you your assigned area.

Here are the volunteer opportunities:
•             Registration- registering all guests
•             Family Fun Zone- Children's area, bouncies, facepainting, carnival games, etc.
•             Hospitality- greeting guests, give direction on different areas for guest etc.
•             Food Distribution- helping with the distribution of the food boxes, and help with the lunch that is provided for our guests (hotdogs, chips, lemonade)
•             Prayer Teams - Teams will travel throughout the different areas of the outreach and possibly throughout the neighborhood to pray with those who would like it.
•             Medical- Henry Ford will be taking care of this area, if you would like to help in the medical area, you will be directed to Dr David Amponsah
•             Clean up crew- emptying trash containers, upkeep on port-a-potties throught-out day
•             Security- looking for two to three more experienced security personnel
•             Set up and tear down- Set up crew must get to the site at 8am for set up of tables and chairs and can leave if you want.  Tear down crew must get to the site at 3:30p to fold chairs and tables for company pick up

Please be considering where you would like to volunteer, those assignments will be given on Saturday morning.

Also, there are T-Shirts available for $7, we are asking all volunteers where one so that our guests will know who the workers are.  If you are not able to purchase the shirt, but would like one, please send me an email.
